Child Support Recalculation Service

As of July 4, 2005 , Manitoba Justice is offering a Child Support Recalculation Service free of charge excluding court filing fees. The service recalculates certain child support orders at regular intervals, based on updated income information. To be eligible for recalculation, you must meet all of the following conditions:

  • The order must contain an amount for child support based on the Child Support Guidelines tables.
  • The child support order must, in most cases, be based on the actual income of the parent paying the child support.
  • Both parents must live in Manitoba .
  • One of the parents must get a court order authorizing the recalculation.

This service applies to recalculation of child support orders under The Family Maintenance Act in Manitoba and the federal Divorce Act.
